Excavation and trenching are among the most hazardous operations in construction. OSHA requires a Competent Person to oversee excavation and trenching jobsites and identify existing and potential hazards.

NUCA’s Excavation Safety Competent Person Training provides participants with the knowledge and training needed to understand the responsibilities of a competent person and OSHA’s excavation safety requirements.

Training Topics Include:

• OSHA Subpart P – Excavations
• Competent Person responsibilities
• Soil classification and analysis
• Protective systems
• Excavation and trenching hazards
• OSHA inspection procedures

Each participant will receive a training manual that includes a complete copy of OSHA’s Excavation Standard.

Non-Members: $100 per person

This training is offered FREE to employees of NUCA of Utah member companies, a $150 per-person value and another great benefit of NUCA membership.
